To continue on with my theme of incredibly awesome and easy to prepare desserts, today, I present a whipped cream and fruit mousse with berries masterpiece. This dessert takes only minutes to prepare and is sure to be a hit with just about everyone.
The Recipe
This dessert comes in three parts. The first is a whipped cream and vanilla mixture, the second is a cream cheese and fruit spread mixture and the final part is a fresh berry mixture. Once the two creams are combined, they are topped with the berries. I have to tell you, this dessert was very good. I enjoyed it last night and hope to enjoy some more tonight. It’s sweet and creamy and the berries on top were just perfect. And just so you’re aware, you can use your favorite types of fruit. You’re not limited to what I suggest in this post.
Ingredients
Serves: 6
1 Cup Whipping Cream
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
3 Ounces Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Strawberry or Raspberry Fruit Spread
Fresh Berries and Grapes
Step-by-Step Instructions
I’d like to thank Favorite Brand Name Recipes for this recipe. It was very straightforward to read which made it easily understood. This is one of my favorite new cookbooks.
Whip the Cream
In a medium sized bowl with a hand whisk or in a stand mixer, beat the cream and vanilla until those ingredients become firm and peaks form. Then, transfer the whipped cream to a different bowl. After that, use the medium sized bowl you just used to beat the cream cheese and strawberry or raspberry spread together. When those two are combined, fold them into the whipped cream carefully.
Add Berries & Serve
Divide the mousse evenly between four bowls or glasses. Then, top everything with the berry and grape mixture. As far as the berries and grapes go, I used blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and dark red grapes that I cut in half. This was a good choice and it was fairly diverse. Red raspberries and other types of seedless grapes would have been nice as well. When finished, serve and enjoy.
The Final Fruit Mousse & Berry Dessert
After the initial whipping is completed, the entire recipe is pretty much ready to go. All you need to do after that is assemble a few items in some glasses. This really was a very tasty and sweet dessert. I’ll surely be returning to this one in the future. If you give this one a try, please let me know your thoughts in the comment area below.
